Introduction to Club Volleyball

• Introduction to organized competitive volleyball
• All players have an opportunity to play at all tournaments
• Learn the importance of team bonding and team dynamics and how it impacts on-court success
• All players referee as a team at tournaments. We review and reinforce skills so players are confident at tournaments. They will learn the following: line judge, Libero tracker, scorekeeper, down referee

   

Individual and Team Skill Development

• Focus on fundamental basic skills; serving, passing, setting, and hitting
• Ensure proper technique and footwork is learned at this early age
• Introduction to position play and what each is responsible for (setter, hitter, back row)
• Introduce serve/receive, rotations, court positions, down ball and free ball transition

Training

• Team practices are twice each week
• TENTATIVE scheduled practice days TBD
• There may be some extra Saturday/Sunday practice opportunities
• Develop individual leadership attributes, while supporting team goals
• Private/semi private lessons are available at an extra cost
