2020-21 Tryout Information

What You Need for Tryouts - 2020-21 (Girls & Boys)

Players: Please bring to tryouts;

  • Mask to wear in the building at all times
  • Backpack to pack all your personal items 
  • Court shoes
  • Knee pads
  • Water bottle - no water fountains
  • At tryouts, a white numbered tryout t-shirt will be provided for players to wear and to keep after tryouts

Paperwork: Please bring to tryouts (forms links below);

  • New this year, use SportEngine to register for your Badger membership
  • Copy of Sport Engine 2020-2021 USAV membership card (print after you register) for your Badger Region Membership click here to view your digital membership card
  • Print, fill out and sign (both parent and player) the 2020-21 USA Volleyball Medical Release Form
  • Print, fill out and sign (both parent and player) the 2020-21 USA Volleyball COVID Waiver Form
  • Print, fill out and sign (both parent and player) the required last two pages from the Wisconsin Concussion Fact Sheet
  • Print and fill out the first page of the Player Information Form

Payment: Register with Madison Elite and choose a tryout session option. Please Note: Tryout fees are non-refundable.

Madison Elite - Celebrating our 9th Season!

Madison Elite will plan to have Boys and Girls 14 and under tryouts the weekend of October 3rd and 4th at Keva Sports Complex in Middleton.

Elite will also plan to have Boys and Girls 15 and older tryouts the weekend of November 14th & 15th at Keva Sport Complex in Middleton.

This is dependent on multiple things that include possible changes to the WIAA season, USAV, Badger Region and other state regulations. Stay tuned for more details.

Club Volleyball Information for 2020-2021


Madison Elite & Badger Region Info - Membership, WI Concussion Facts, Medical Release, COVID Waiver and Player Form. Click on the Teal titles below for more information.



  1. Badger Region Membership: (Required) Badger Region USA Volleyball Membership page with registration and membership options. Every athlete trying out for club volleyball must have either a $10 tryout membership (preferred) or a $50 full membership with Badger Region.
  2. USAV Membership Card: (Required) After you purchase your Badger Region Membership tryout fee, print out the membership card. This is needed at tryouts to verify current membership status with Badger Region.
  3. Wisconsin Concussion Fact Sheet: (Required) two-page form at end of fact sheet that needs to be  printed, filled out, signed by both the parent and the player. This fact sheet provides  information about concussions for athletes and parents.
  4. Medical Release Form: (Required) USAV Player Medical Release form. This is on the Badger Region forms page and  must be filled out, dated and signed by both the player and the parent. 
  5. COVID Waiver Form: (Required) Print out first page, both the parent and the player need to sign, then bring to tryouts. 
  6. Player Information Form: (Required) Print out first page, fill out and bring to tryouts.

  2. Family Resources: Navigating the club volleyball world can be a bit daunting at times. Badger Region developed a guide to aid families who may be new to club volleyball.
  3. Player Age Definition: All 40 regions of USA Volleyball use a player’s birthday, not grade, to determine what age-level the player can participate in during the club season. Use this 2020-2021 chart to determine the age level your child should tryout for. Badger Region allows clubs to use an age waiver for players to compete with same-grade peers.

  5. Tryout Commitment Dates: Individual clubs will determine their tryout schedule. Badger Region encourages all prospective athletes to directly contact each club they will be trying out for to determine how the tryout processes will work on a club-to-club basis.
